One of the first foremen of Port Vila Municipality after independence died in New Caledonia.
Louis Fogliani has served as municipal foreman just before and after independence for almost twenty years when Port Vila Municipality and Public Works constructed new roads around the capital city.
After his retirement in early 90s, he stayed at his home at Freshwater One before leaving for New Caledonia where his children live.
He was the owner of the shop that is occupied by a Chinese businessman near municipal workshop and cemetery.
The former Port Vila municipal foreman was around 80 years old when he died in New Caledonia on Thursday 28 November early morning.
