Permanent representative of France to SPC visits Vanuatu

Ambassador Hervé Dejean de la Bâtie, Permanent Secretary for the Pacific (SPP) and Permanent Representative of France to the South Pacific Community (SPC) and the Regional Oceania Program for the Environment (SPREP) carried out a mission to Port Vila from 18 to 19 November 2019.
On this occasion, he met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ralph Regenvanu, and also met the representative of the South Pacific Community in Port Vila, the representatives of the Office of the Regional Ocean Program for the Environment, the Melanesian Spearhead Group, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
The Permanent Secretary for the Pacific also met with the Ministry of Education and visited the future site of the Vanuatu National University, and then visited the laboratory of the Center for International Cooperation in Agricultural Research for Development (CIRAD) and the Vanuatu Meteorological Service, which have benefited in the past from funding from the Pacific Fund.
