A forum took place last week in Port Vila, aimed to make a stand against all forms of leadership that are not originated from Vanuatu custom and culture.
The forum that brought together chiefs representing custom governance on many islands from the group took place at Mwebalehan Nakamal at Anabrou.
Initiated by chiefs from Pentecost, the forum called for more respect and recognition for custom by government authorities so as to allow custom to complement national human and economic development.
Vila Times understands this forum is the stepping stone towards the foundation of a new cultural group that will be contesting 2020 General Elections. (Photo: Dickinson Tevi Post FB)
