Air Service Agreement between China and Vanuatu

In few months time, Vanuatu will welcome Chinese people who will come here as tourists.
This small islands nation in the South Pacific will become another destination for Chinese tourists who will travel by air following the Air Service Agreement signed on Wednesday this week by Vanuatu Prime Minister Charlot Salwai and Chinese Ambassador for Vanuatu Zhou Haicheng.
This agreement will unable direct flights from China to Vanuatu and vice versa for people from Vanuatu who wish to visit China.
It will be another supplement in Vanuatu tourism industry. The traditional tourism market Vanuatu has since 1980 is from Australia and New Zealand. These two biggest countries in the South Pacific have currently biggest tourism market from China.
Speaking after the signing ceremony that took place at PM’s Office, Vanuatu Prime Minister said Air Service Agreement was supposed to be signed in Beiging when he made courtesy visit in China on May this year but related documents were not ready. Photo: DP
