Another earthquake strikes near Vanuatu

A 5.5 Magnitude earthquake occurred in the Vanuatu region today.

The seismology Unit of the Department of Mineral Resources reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10km.

It was registered at 362km from Lenakel, Vanuatu; 673km Northeast from Noumea, New Caledonia; and 672km Southwest from Suva, Fiji, Fiji Times reports.

The department noted that this seismic activity did not pose an immediate threat.
