Massive 7.0-magnitude earthquake has struck south of Vanuatu and east of New Caledonia.
The earthquake was 15km deep, and struck after 11.30am today, October 31.
It is believed the earthquake could have been felt by people up to 1247km away, reports Daily Mail.
Initial fears that quake had triggered a tsunami have been denied by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre. It also could have caused damage up to 99km away.
