MP Gratien Shedrak from Malekula reaffirmed his affiliation with Leaders Party Vanuatu (LPV) yesterday afternoon when he returned back to his seat following court proceedings for being ousted by Speaker of Parliament, Simeon Seule.
The reason behind the Speaker’s decision to declare Shedrak’s seat vacant was because he was absent during three consecutive meetings of Parliamentary session.
But MP for Malekula justified his absence saying he was sick and he provided a written letter with medical certificate to the Speaker.
Yesterday afternoon, after the Court proceedings through the weekend, MP Shedrak went back to Parliament Chamber and reaffirmed his stand that he was still with LPV of Deputy Prime Minister, Jotham Napat.
During the Court proceedings, he was seen in Court with the Leader of the Opposition, Ismael Kalsakau, and the Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Ronald Warsal.
