Vanuatu’s Deputy Prime Minister Jotham Napat officially opened Vanuatu’s first business incubator V-Lab on Thursday night.
New Zealand’s Deputy High Commissioner, Richard Dirks was honoured to be invited to speak at the launch and said… “Helping young people to develop and grow business ideas – with a focus on innovation, the green economy and social entrepreneurship – is vitally important.”
V-Lab Lab is linked to the newly developed co-working space in Port Vila ,Yumiwork, and will support up to ten ni-Vanuatu entrepreneurs, with office space and business coaching and services each year. At least half of these business people will be women.
New Zealand shares V-Lab’s aim of promoting financial inclusion in Vanuatu and encouraging more women and young people in particular into business and provided funding to help V-Lab get up and running. Source: NZHicom
