From next year, the nuns will take back the control of the Anabrou Kindergarten School, Ecole maternelle du Sacré-Cœur d’Anabrou.
The priest in charge of the Catholic Parish of Sacred Heart in Port Vila, Father Célestin Tari, made the announcement on Wednesday last week when he celebrated the mass at Tebakor Church to mark the end of the school year for Ecole maternelle du Sacré-Cœur d’Anabrou.
Father Célestin Tari did not justify the decision of the Parish of Sacred Heart that administrates the school since the 80s but it seems that many decisions taken by the management of the school and the school council concerning the running of this small kindergarten have not satisfied a lot those who have authority over it.
When this small kindergarten school started to operate in the 80’s, its management and its academic activities have been under the control of the catholic nuns until such time when the Parish of Sacred Heart decided to hand them over to women who had long experience in the field of education, especially the former teachers.
The children of any denomination are accepted to be enrolled in this catholic kindergarten school each year.
