As Vanuatu has just observed the date on which the National Constitution has been signed thirty nine years ago, many people still raise question on the unavailability of the ‘Mama law’ and the laws being passed by National Parliament since 1980 on mobile application following an initiative that led to an agreement between a private company Garden Code and the Office of Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO).
In August 2016, Garden Code together with the OGCIO announced that they were working collaboratively to develop an Android mobile application that can enable Vanuatu citizens to access the Constitution and the laws of the Republic of Vanuatu on their Mobile devices.
