With the new educational policies, the Vanuatu Institute of Teacher Education needs to increase the level of qualification of its human resources.

In this context, the Government of Vanuatu has signed an agreement with the UNC (Université de la Nouvelle-Calédonie for the training of Francophone teachers/trainers.

Then, with funding from the Embassy of France and other partners, teachers / trainers began their studies in Master MEEF (Professions of Education, Education and Training) at the University of New Caledonia (Université de la Nouvelle-Calédonie). The training was organized on a hybrid mode (blended mode).

In 2016, three educators had successfully completed this training and obtained this qualification. In 2018, four other French-speaking educators obtained the same qualifications, one has graduated at the beginning of the year (Augustin Nasse) and three on Tuesday 25th September. They are Jean Pascal Osca, James Melteres and Ariane Naliupis.
