The Vanuatu Archery Association has announced its final archery team for the Pacific Mini Games 2017.

Vanuatu Archery Coach, Francis Runa confirmed a team of nine archers were selected to be on the final archery team list.

The archery selection was made at the end of the five-month intensive training in China.

The archers are: Roberto Bong, Joddy Tagaro, Andre Bill for the Compound Bow boys; Danick Aisick, Victor Tarson and David Wokale who will be competing for Recurve and Aisha Breton, Amelia Lovo and Elodie Molwai to compete for Recurve girls.

“All archers are talented, which made our selection quite tough. Our selections were made through each archer’s commitment, skills performance, attendance as well as being winners of a competition held between Vanuatu and Bolivia in China,” Francis Runa said.

Mr Runa said a total of 12 young archers travelled to China, however only nine were selected. The other three who have not made it to the final list will still be part of the team as reserves.
