The head coach of the Vanuatu national football team Moise Poida said he believes Solomon Islands can beat New Zealand in the upcoming OFC Stage Three final of the World Cup qualifiers next month.
“New Zealand is not like before when we called them ‘power house’. Right now any team can beat them,” Moise Poida said.
Vanuatu’s coach made these comments after the friendly match with Solomon Islands at the Lawson Tama stadium, reports Solomon Star.
He said, if Vanuatu could beat New Zealand in the past, Solomon Islands have everything to beat them in this upcoming finals.
“Solomons have everything to beat them. Solomons have good talented players, fast players, and very skillful players,’’ Moise Poida added.
